Whorlton pods is a beautiful place to stay. There are three pods all with privacy, hot tub, fire pit and a nice warm cosy pod with all that you need for a relaxing stay. The hosts were welcoming, non intrusive and provided a wonderful lemon drizzle cake, milk, juice and water for our arrival. We also had some fire for the fire pit with grill which you can top up using an honesty box system. The site is so peaceful and during our stay the hundreds of bunnies calling the field opposite home entertained us and our 5 year old for a long time. There is a small town 5mins away with shops, pubs, takeaways etc. Which is just beautiful and of course plenty of walks nearby too. We wouldn't hesitate in staying again.

Rooms: Cosy, has everything you need.wood and fire lighter starter pack for wood outdoor burner is provided, more can be purchased. Pillows and bedding were super warm, you can adjust the central heating to your liking. Some nice fairy lights if you want a more ambient setting. Kettle, toaster, fridge, microwave oven and hob provided. Nice little touch with fresh milk and orange in fridge. Tea and coffee sachets if needed. Lovely homemade lemon drizzle cake on arrival. One of the best pods we have stayed in! Food & drinks: Y Thai in stokesly is worth a visit Noteworthy details: Owners are lovely and friendly. Hot tub was gorgeous, looks out at stars on a night is just so relaxing. As is watching the wildlife on a morning. Private outdoor seating was provided via a bench, bistro set and swing. So peaceful. Would definitely stay again.

Nearby activities: There is plenty of sight seeing to be done. We are big walkers so we walked through stainby right the way up to cod beck reservoir. It was an hour and a half each way but was so worth it! Food & drinks: If you arent a driver like we arent pubs are only a half an hour walk or so. We visited the black horse and it was such a welcoming pub with lovely food, it wasnt too expensive either Noteworthy details: When you arrive they have a small bottle of milk and orange juice waiting for you in the fridge which was a lovely surprise! Aswell as a lemon drizzle cake with a handwritten note. You could see the field from your door and every single day there are bunnies running across the field, we could have watched them all day it was adorable.
