Halsdown Nursing Home

In the last month ,under the most difficult of circumstances Howard;Allison and Louise have welcomed both my parents into their wonderful nursing home ,Halsdown House. Myself ,sisters and family cannot thank them and their incredible staff enough for the care and kindness they have shown us all , but especially my parents . Would fully recommend Halsdown House as a safe,friendly ,professional ,caring well run Nursing home .

I cant speak highly enough about Halsdown. The extraordinary team provide excellent and compassionate care to my Mum and all the residents. They are attentive, professional, welcoming and friendly with an amazing sense of fun which makes a relaxed, warm and homely atmosphere. It is an outstanding nursing home.

This wonderful home has been looking after my old mum for several years now and if I could give it 10 stars, I would!! Kind , respectful staff and superb care, I thoroughly recommend this place to anyone!!

My mother had a brief residency at Halsdown Residential Home as she required full time care after I could not manage myself to provide her the 24hr assistance she desperately needed. At very short notice, I was lucky to find a free space and Amanda dropped everything and came out and assessed my mother. They were happy to provide her the care she needed. Mum had a terminal illness and at times was, understandably, testy and a tad aggravated. Louise and her team dealt with Mum's issues and copious 'calls' for assistance. They took great care of her and for that I am forever grateful. They granted me freedom to come and go at all hours as I wanted to be with my mother until she slipped away. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They also took care of me and were kind and considerate. Howard took time to talk to me and I am glad my Mum was in their care for her last weeks. They provided me with a very useful 'app' that meant I could see every visit and welfare task made in my absence. I am today coping with the loss of my Mum and the Halsdown House team have been a big part in helping me. Thank you Louise, Amanda, Clare, Gail, Donna, Howard and the many caring ladies who made her last few days very comfortable.
