Dolphin Pre-School & Nursery

I am super impressed with how much my baby girl adores going to Dolphin. The staff are kind and caring, showing how much they care for her! She comes home happy after having a day full of activities and new learning. I go to work reassured that shes in excellent hands!!

I am so pleased that we chose The Dolphin for our son. It was such a big decision but we have never looked back. Since staring there, our son has been so well looked after. The staff are amazing and work very hard. Mel and Paul are always happy to help out if we need to alter or add days. I would highly recommend The Dolphin to any parents looking for childcare.

Cannot recommend The Dolphin enough! Both of our children have been here. The staff are so accommodating, friendly, and welcoming. Which is such a relief when life with young children and working can be so stressful! Wonderful team :)

Dolphin nursery came recommended to me after reaching out via social media for the best nurseries in the Exmouth area, as I'd only moved to Devon 14 months earlier and had little to no knowledge of the area. Needless to say taking a chance on Dolphin nursery was the best decision I made for both of my boys (two boys under 2). The management and team of staff across little Dino's and little explorers are absolutely fantastic with our children and never disappointed with the regular updates we have on a weekly basis with their (all about me books). The management team are very approachable and accommodating when we've hit challenges and helped adjust our children's hours to suit our budget during this current climate. If you are looking for a well-rounded nursery, I can't recommend them highly enough. Our boys are developing so well because of their support!

Dolphin Review My little boy, Ben is 2.5 years old and has been attending The Dolphin 2 days a week since he was 12 months old. All staff members at The Dolphin are extremely friendly and know Ben by name, even when they have not yet worked with him. We have always been so warmly welcomed at drop offs and waved off in such a personal way. Katherine, in particular makes you feel like she has all the time in the world for your child, when in reality she is also busy with the other kids she cares for, as well as running the Busy Bees class. Ben often talks about Katherine when we are at home. He says he cant wait to show her things hes been up to and asks to see her on his days off. It is not always easy to understand what Ben is saying and Katherine has obviously taken the time to get to know him really well and clearly makes such an effort in actively listening to him. I can see a huge leap in his confidence as a result and hes excited to arrive at nursery and happily skips in with Katherine. I no longer have any mum guilt about leaving him, as I know he really loves it. So much so, he often doesnt want to come home! Katherine, Amy and Aimee have all been known to help a tantrumming Ben into his car seat at the end of the day! I also feel very confident The Dolphin know how to deal with Bens allergies. Louise, the cook has always catered especially for him. All the team know what he can and cannot have and are trained in dealing with all medical emergencies should they arise, which gives me enormous peace of mind. Mel, the manager, has always been very flexible when I have needed Ben to go in for ad hoc days, where she has availability, which has been a huge help when I have had no other childcare options. One of the highlights of my week is reading Bens All About Me report on all the activities hes been doing that week. Its filled with lots of photos and write ups and serves as a really lovely record of his development and a keepsake to look back on in years to come. I thoroughly recommend The Dolphin to any parent looking for a fun, friendly, flexible and safe, nurturing environment for their young child.
