  • White Magic

    This has to be the slowest DBS check that I have ever had. I have previously had 3 DBS checks in the past through schools and they have come back within one week. Recently there was an issue with my dbs check (middle name wasn't present in the application) I waited nearly 4 weeks....ended up calling to find out this was the issue, God knows how long I would of been waiting if I hadn't called! Had to withdraw my application and pay for another check. This time I have been waiting 3 weeks and the process has been stuck at stage 4 for 2 weeks now. I resigned from my previous job 7 weeks ago as I thought my dbs check wouldn't take long due to previous experience and that I would be able to start my new nursery job....well that was a BIG mistake! I'm now 2 months in debt with my bills with nothing to show for it! And I am getting married in 18 weeks time and really need an income! Because of this I am contemplating looking for another job as anything else will be quicker than this. I am so disappointed in the lack of communication if there is an issue with an application. With all this waiting I am having to give up a job I really wanted because the dbs check is taking too long. All together I have been waiting 7 weeks.

    Terrible service, never received the check in paper although I specifically ordered the tracked and signed for extra 15 pounds. They refused to refund me. Would definitely not recommend!

    Yeah, they used to be ok. The information they are giving early years providers now is quite concerning. I expect it's to get extra money out of people when checks turn out to be wrong.

    No option given for enhanced DBS, therefore presumed it would be available at a later stage in the process. It wasn't. There must have been a bug in their system, but they refused to give a refund - even though it had been only seconds since payment was made. Not impressed at all. We had to start a new application with a second higher payment. Shocking customer service. We will be looking elsewhere in future.
