        Sadly this place isn't what it used to be. Scones were really paltry considering the reputation of Patisserie Valerie. Lovely hot chocolate and ham and Emmental croissant though. Staff were lovely but clearly overworked and understaffed. I'm still willing to support this company as I know that everywhere is struggling now, don't know what else to say but to wish the company good luck for the future.

        So so so disappointed with Patisserie Valerie Exeter. Took the trouble to book a table for 3pm today to use our afternoon tea Birthday present voucher. Even left my phone number. Made a special trip to the tearooms only to find it CLOSED.Cost me 4.50 in car park fee which was wasted. Cheers Patisserie Valerie for nothing.

        Whist out shopping, we popped in for a coffee and a cake. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, it felt like visiting friends. The cakes we ordered were divine. Will be our go to place when shopping from now on.

        Asked for a red velvet cake, staff member did warn me that the red velvet cake and a few others are very dry but I bought it anyway as it looked delicious. Can confirm the cake was ridiculously stale, literally cardboard. Shame because theyre not cheap & look amazing. Very disappointed wont be buying again.
