Wonderful hidden gem of the city. Pay what you want for a great, wide range of books. Friendly staff too!

Quirky to say the least. A charity bookshop where you can take out 3 books and if you choose pay nothing. They promote reading in youngsters a more than worthwhile thing. The shop is packed to the gunnels and for a reader like myself it is Heaven. The staff are also quirky and I mean that in a nice way.. I suppose you have to be to volunteer to work there. We return our books and always shell out. Oxfam now charge about 3 a book so I use that as a guide. They seem happy with this in a quirky way.

So Im back in the city four the first time in seven years. Im a huge book worm and reviewer and love to support independent book sellers where ever I tend to find myself on my travels. I came ere with a friend and loved the place. You get to decide the price you pay and you can purchase up to three books a day. My friend picked up two, on on my recommendation and i picked up just the one. Staff were amazing, very welcoming, chatty and friendly. An amazing amount of books well organised. I also purchased a huge pine cone as I love the meaning that a pine come represents of rebirth and enlightenment. I will come here again when next in the city.
