Should be an option to score 0. The service and management of this surgery is appalling. The receptionists always seem miserable and have an attitude problem and trying to get an appointment to actually see a doctor is like trying to pick the winning lottery numbers. You can get on the phone the second they open but you could be 25th or more in the queue and wait for an hour to get through, by which point all the appointments have gone. When I have seen or spoken to a Dr or nurse they have always been great, just a shame about the way the surgery is run. 14/04/23 update, currently waiting for a prescription in the chemist after I was assured by Dr Emily Hay it had already been sent at 12:30. It's now 17:55 and despite several phonecalls from the pharmacist to the surgery, they still haven't sent the prescription through. ABSOLUTELY USELESS! Seems the level of incompetence is a team effort with some of the GPs after all!

Having recently moved into the area I chose this surgery as my nearest and I'm not sorry I did. Whenever I've telephoned I've been dealt with efficiently and professionally. I've seen a GP in the Broadclyst and Pinhoe practice and the doctors are as good as any I've ever encountered. I'm happy to wait in a telephone queue for 20 mins to get free healthcare.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I moved to this surgery 3 years ago and although I suffer with a number of debilitating diseases, which my consultant has given me a repeat prescription for, my Dr refuses to authorise the repeat prescription until the day I completely run out- Ive tried to be patient and understanding but this happens EVERY MONTH! Its an absolutely disgraceful way to treat people who live with chronic conditions. My previous 2 GPs would have my repeat prescription ready for collection 7 days before I ran out- Why cant Dr Quinton do the same? Not only has she interfered with the medication my consultant has prescribed, but she actively makes it difficult for me to receive the medication I need. Its bizarre and grossly unprofessional. If that wasnt enough, she also misdiagnosed Gallstones as constipation or indigestion for over a year, despite me repeatedly saying I believed it was Gallstone attacks I was experiencing. She was patronising and condescending beyond belief. AND she was wrong- Thanks to the Duty Dr, I was referred for a scan where I was diagnosed as having Gallstones (surprise surprise) and promptly (thanks again to the Duty Dr) had my gallbladder removed. Im left with no option but to move surgeries and to make a formal complaint. I personally have found that there are 1 or 2 receptionists who are friendly and compassionate, but theres definitely 1 or 2 that that are incredibly rude and difficult. All round its my worst experience of healthcare Ive experienced to date.
