5 stars so far (Sep/ Oct 2022). My daughter is in year 2. The accommodation is pretty good. Bathroom needed a bit of a clean but most items work as expected. There is good lighting and plenty of storage space. The corridors and shared areas tend to be very warm when its warm, but the room isnt too bad. Bring a desk fan. Internet is very good and the building seems to be quiet. All the residents we came across so far were very polite and well behaved. [Compared to the campus accommodation in year 1 which was a nightmare - parties until 4 or 5 am many days and bad behaviour / damage. Students acting like spoiled brats sadly]? Hopefully it will stay as is. The kitchen is good. Small fridge with an ice making compartment (the door to the ice make is new and stiff to lock shut. It takes a knack - firm pressure in the middle of the handle - dont hold the handle. The hob is halogen and works well. It has a 15 minute safety timer, but you can turn off/on to reset. There is a combo microwave which could be really helpful compared to a micro only. It has a grill and also convection so you could cook a wider range of meals. One final comment - depending on the room location, you might be overlooked by the Iron Bridge road (pedestrians or cars). Each room has a roller blind but then that cuts the light. I put up some frosting on the lower half windows. This lets light in but gives privacy as the light gets darker. B&Q sell this. You just need water spray and a sharp knife, cloth and something to push out air bubbles (like a credit card). Works well. Location is very good for town. Staff good so far. There was a water leak from a ceiling in the corridor. It was reported out of hours and answered immediately. Not sure if fixed but at least noted. We were alway apprehensive as its a new place and location and you have to enter a contract but maybe couldnt visit in person. So far a good experience.
