Two smaller branches of H&B have closed in Exeter and this new larger shop has opened up in one of the units in the refurbished old House of Fraser building. It's nice and spacious with the usual range of stock you would expect from Holland and Barrett.

I do not like the new store layout whatsoever. I had a feeling the options would lessen and I was correct. It never fails. A store expands space and actually manages to loose stock. What a bad idea. It was a pleasure shopping repeatedly at the location next to McDonalds but now I do not get that same feeling. What you should have done is kept the original shop and possibly opened a side shop which maybe sold more vitamins/ supplements because thats what the new one seems to be geared towards. Now it feels more like a vitamin shop and not at all like a shop in which you could actually purchase foods and snacks (particularly if you are vegan.) Glad to see some of the more kind and friendly staff members still on board but the lack of stock does not make up for this new idea of the companys.

I entered Holland and Barrett at Princesshay today, Exeter (22/01/23) to be greeted by an obnoxious and rude older gentleman. This man was the only person in the shop. I initially asked for guidance regarding IBS symptoms to which he blatantly directed me towards the correct area. He offered no professional guidance or help whatsoever. I proceeded to ask him whether there was an offer regarding the two for one sign outside of the shop to which he rudely responded to me saying "the product doesn't have a sign does it ''. I stated that I had been into the Holland and Barrett at the Guildhall where every product was under two for one to which he replied rudely, stating "well its not, i work across both stores". He then walked away shaking his head in front of myself and other customers. I ended up leaving the store without what I had entered for due to his disgusting manner. I am hugely shocked that this man is working in both stores and I will certainly be avoiding Holland and Barrett when he is working.
