This gym cannot be bettered. Whatever age or level of fitness everything is made achievable; the small but friendly groups can even make squats slightly enjoyable. Every visit brings a new challenge unlike the monotony of a normal gym. The coaches are v.encouraging making this gym become a significant habit. Addicted.

I initially went here for a 12 week challenge to get fitter and lose weight. But the time flys by and now i'll never leave Oakmont is very friendly and welcoming as soon as you arrive, everyone is really encouraging and it feels like a family. There are a mix of ages and capabilities but everyone supports each other. Whatever you want to achieve, you can do it here. The team who run it are knowledgeable with a wealth of experience, they plan out the sessions meticulously. The timetable is flexible with lots of options so theres no excuses, you can fit it in! If you've been exercising or dieting for years and haven't reached your goal then the guys will be able to help you realise why and help you get where you need to go. They don't sugarcoat the facts, expect to be pushed hard but you'll see results! And you won't want to give up. Don't hesitate, just give it a go.

This is such a friendly, welcoming gym. I do the group HIIT sessions, which are in a group of a maximum of 12. The instructors are all very attentive and will offer helpful advice to make sure you are getting the best out of a session safely and without sounding like drill instructors. The sessions are very well thought out, with appropriate break points built in. The participants are of all ages and abilities but nobody gets left behind.

I've amended this review because in hindsight I realised that the workouts were not personalised very much. While this personal trainer did manage to push me beyond my limits with his personable and motivational style of training, he did not personalise the exercises to the goals that I had. The same exercises were used and reused for multiple clients. The simple truth is that getting fit or muscular doesn't require you to feel like you're dying from exhaustion every session, but I think many clients think that and so PTs push them for their satisfaction. I'd like to see more targeted exercises and smart training for the client's specific goals.
