Amazing shop!! I bought a Barbour coat there and the service was super friendly, helpful, and competent. No one "forced" me to buy anything and I could have a look by myself and decide without pressure. Today, I walked in because of an issue with my jacket (my own fault) and they were extremely helpful. I am in love with my coat and the shop!

A great local shop! The window displays alone are always eye-catching - and inside - the choice of good quality items is fantastic. Staff are so helpful, informative and friendly, reminding the customer that shopping can still be enjoyable!

I quickly popped into the shop today knowing I needed a new Riding Hat. A member of your staff approached completely fine and helped me get fitted with one. I then asked if I can have a look around as Ive never been in the shop just before I paid and he replied: Oh so there is no upper limit then? I had to awkwardly laugh as it is abit rude to presume someones financial status. I then had a a brief moment to look around and then went to the counter to pay. As a member of the Armed Forces, I politely asked if you do MOD discount or Blue Light, to which he said The worlds gone wrong if youre in the SAS Im only 5ft, so it is blatently rude and insulting to me on my height and looks. A customer behind me then asked why you dont do Blue light, to which he again replied They get paid enough as it is. - referring to me, who was standing directly infront of him, and the policemen, nurses, doctors, firemen and other service personnel. With the current strikes and ongoing news, this was disagreeable. Im not one to be annoyed about not recieving discounts, most places dont support it! But if you dont ask, you dont get.. however I was not expecting to recieve insults to me personally, and to my job. Please can you have a word with your staff to recognise an easy customer, I knew what I wanted and was quick. There was absolutely no need for any other comment and frankly left me with bad taste to return, even though your shop has an amazing collection of stock. Regards, Adrienne Frid
