Matt has helped me, my husband and my husband's parents with multiple financial "things". Including: organising several of my workplace pensions into one; helping us with our mortgage and advising my in-laws on the best way to invest and manage their savings. Matt explains things in a way that's understandable whatever your level of financial knowledge, he has a skill of pitching it perfectly to be neither confusing nor condescending. For any of you who are looking to plan for their future retirement, I would highly recommend Matthew and his team. I recently took the step of investigating the benefits of transferring out a large percentage of my defined benefits pensions into a different scheme. This is not a decision to be taken lightly and I wanted to make sure it was something that was going to work for me and my family. I approached Matthew to help me with this decision. Matthew demonstrated the benefits that it could bring in a pressure free consultation and took me very carefully through a process explaining not only the benefits but also the risks. My portfolio, in conjunction with my wifes pension proved an ideal scenario for this to be a possibility. The triage process I was taken through was really effective and helped me with making the decision to progress to full advice, I felt that the services Matthew provided were excellent. I was kept in up to date with progress at all times, knowing that Matthew would absolutely not have taken this forward without it being something that was the right thing to do. We needed help planning our retirement whilst paying off our mortgage and supporting our children with house purchases and weddings etc. Although we were well organised (we thought!) Matt listened to our goals, understood what we wanted to achieve and then produced a plan which enabled us to attain our lifestyle goals. Throughout the process he listened to what WE wanted and planned accordingly, regularly checking in with us to ensure we remained on track and were happy. Even lock down did not stop him keeping in touch via excellent use of technology. His team provide excellent friendly back up and Matt's technical knowledge and calm reassuring manner are second to none. We have now moved house, retired, payed off our mortgage and supported our children as we wanted, and look forward to the next stage in our lives knowing that Matt has our back. We have no hesitation in recommending his services. We are proud he is our son, but when dealing with us "professionally", he puts on his "Adviser hat", and that is the basis of the review.
