Bee and Ian were absolutely amazing and made our wedding so fantastic. We had three Capri marquees and they looked amazing. I would highly recommend this company from start to finish. Really easy to communicate with abs answered all our questions. Ian and his team were so helpful setting up and taking down the tents abs nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much!!

A fantastic service. The two guys that delivered the marquee put it up efficiently, even climbing the ladder and pruning a tree! Would highly recommended these beautiful marquees.

We booked Godney for our wedding 18th September in Hartland, north Devon. We hired the Capri marquee. In the lead up to our wedding Bee and Ian were great. Very helpful, and always ready to chat on the phone if we had questions. Our experience with Godney in the months before the wedding were really positive, and we want to stress this. However, our experience the week of the wedding was disappointing. First issues came with instalment. The Marquee was put up and something was clearly wrong. It was windy and the marquee was flapping - it wasnt taut. On top of this we couldnt close the doors because the marquee was sagging. Ian sent out a mate with a bag of pegs who was lovely but quickly admitted to us that pegs were not going to sort it. It was later discovered that a metal plate hadnt been included under one of the poles meaning that it had sunk into the ground. Because we couldnt close the doors, we couldnt set the tables or decorate as we couldnt keep the wind out. The only way we could set tables and decorate was to hire big farm trailers and place them in front as wind breaks. Ian came over twice to fix it - the first time he said it was our fault for moving the pole which wasnt true. The second time was the Friday night before our wedding. He apologised and said that hed identified the problem - we were only then able to close the doors. The marquee was still letting in water at the join between the two tents and we had a rainy wedding! Second issue is that we hired our tables through Godney. We needed them to arrive with enough time to set etc which we were told would be the Thursday. These only arrived after midday on Friday when guests were already arriving so this added to the stress of the marquee not being weather proof. The tables were hired from a company called Abbotts who we were dealing with already. Godney blamed Abbotts for the delay but Abbotts had a record of the booking and it had never been planned for Thursday. They forwarded us the booking details so we were able to check. We don't take leaving this review lightly it just seems to be our only resort. Weve raised these issues privately to Ian and Bee and their response is that they did nothing wrong and they are sorry we feel this way. Theyve not recognised the stress weve been caused or the fact that we can prove theyve mislead us over the hiring of the tables. If it hadnt been for three hired farm trailers acting as wind break and a lot of our guests pitching in the night before our wedding it would have looked very different. Hope Godney can improve on this and that no one goes through a similar experience. Natasha and Danny
