Get Lara Spencer on your side. She was phenomenal - her knowledge, insight and advice was always spot on and having someone who really knows their stuff and prepares well was invaluable. I had randomly sought her legal opinion and then decided to instruct her as a litigant in person instead of using a solicitor. She worked very hard, was always easy to contact and gave me excellent guidance, as well as keeping my morale up in the face of a slippery opponent. In general anyone wanting a realistic assessment of their case would be wise to consult a direct access barrister first. I hope I don't have any more litigation in my life but if did I would be straight back to Lara. I also recommended Lara to someone else and she very thoroughly and effectively delivered for them too.

I used Walnut House Chambers as a litigant in person to provide me with a barrister for a property dispute, a case which lasted for 18 months and which I won. I was recommended to them by a number of solicitors at one of the top law firms in London. I found Bernard Hayward, the Practice Manager, to be organised, professional and always available whenever issues arose.
