Our experience at Raffles was, in a word, stunning. We arrived late to a friendly face at the door, and immediately felt welcomed by the charming decor and warm layout. The room was large, crisp and clean, with a large shower, TV, and charming vintage furniture. The beds were comfortable and cosy, and we had an excellent sleep. Breakfast was delicious, with a variety of hot breakfasts available alongside cereal, yogurt, preserves, juice, and fresh cafetiere coffee. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. In the light, the property was beautiful, with well-kept and well-curated gardens laced with wildflowers like bluebells and wild garlic. We enjoyed ourselves immensely, and will certainly be back next time in Exeter. This is not a place to be missed!

Lovely room, just to our taste. Got here early so we had time to get ready for an evening out. We stayed in a family room and we have no complaints about the room or the ensuite. What let it down was the temperature. We were freezing. Too cold to shower and change. Heating did come on just before we went out and was off when we got back. Heating fine in the morning. Breakfast was good.
