The place is beautiful with great views on Topsham. Unfortunately the victorian cottage is closed and completely locked down. It is supposed to be restored but currently it's in need of some repairs. The cottage was originally built for the lock keepers around 1800 and it was handed back to Exeter City Council in 2020. There are plans for the place to reopen as a Caf but so far nothing has happened. Once restored this will be a lovely place to sit and have a Coffee. The children usually jump off the little bridge which is nearby in the summer.

Very interesting to see Topsham Lock which used to allow boats to use a short cut from the Exeter Canal to Topsham Harbour. Just updated photos here with a view of the Lock from from the other side of the river Exe in Topsham.

My husband and I visited this place during our trip to Limestone. Lovely and picturesque place to see, it's a lovely little harbour. There is a pay and display car park not to far, but the rates are reasonable. Parking: There is a pay and display machine where you can purchase your parking ticket but you can also use an app.
