We first became aware of Mitchells when we attended the cremation of a friend of our fathers and were very impressed with the funeral director who gladly stepped in to lead the service when the vicar unfortunately did not arrive! Following our mothers death I contacted Martin and he could not have been more helpful and compassionate. Martin advised that Katy would look after our family and she would listen to what we wanted for our mother and keep us informed at every stage of the arrangements. We cannot thank her enough for the support she provided at a particularly difficult time. We were treated with the most utmost respect and sympathy, and we were absolutely impressed with the way everything was handled. We received professional, outstanding service from start to finish, it felt like it was a friend helping us rather than a business. The empathy and genuine caring nature from Katy and Martin helped us tremendously to give our mother the farewell that she deserved. There are not enough words to say how brilliantly our mothers passing and the day of her funeral were handled and we would like to thank Katy who led her funeral from the bottom of our hearts. Katys compassion, and attention to detail was amazing. We felt in control of all proceedings, and nothing was too much trouble. From the absolutely stunning flowers to the beautifully presented order of service Katy lead us through everything with exceptional respect and professionalism and our family appreciate your kindness more than you could ever know and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Although an incredibly sad day, our mothers funeral was beautiful, meaningful, and uplifting and we will remember the day forever. Cheryl and Martin were fantastic with my mothers funeral but unfortunately today was a different story all together. We had a lady called Katie from Mitchell's who made the buriel of my mums ashes heartbreaking. She turned up said hi and just stood there, it was all very awkward. When i asked her about the service she told me I can't put my mums ashes in the ground she was to do it because her client requests it.she was very rude and disrespectful towards my mother and our family. She had both my children in tears and she said she was going to cancel the service. Katie explained who ever pays is the person that decides what happens and
