We have had our Gazco fire for fours years, from the moment we bought it it was temperamental if it lit or not ! We had the company that we purchased it from look at it twice and had it serviced each year, again sometimes it lit then it wouldnt light at all We have never trusted it and always thought it was faulty when fitted. Now at a point where we wanted to replace it with something that worked I contacted Gazco directly , I have spoken to them on several occasions for advice , always changing the batteries even though the fire not in use Luckily I had an extended warranty so was able for them to come and try to fix the fire. A man called Derek Thomas came with a trainee I told them the story and said the last person that serviced it said it needs to come out and its not fixable !!! The fire was fully stripped down and it was a while before they knew what it was , nearly every part was replaced including the handset to the fire, nothing phased Derek, he reassured me and told me he would get this fire going and he did! They were both extremely helpful and professional . Seeing the fire working was a delight we have never really benefited from it since the day we bought it . I would like them to get recognition for doing their job thoroughly and excellent customer service , I will not use local firms ever again for this fire I will use Gazco each year for servicing they are fully trustworthy . I forget the trainees name , Derek left him to it, over seeing him, he was training and I would like him to get full recognition too, they spent hours on a Friday afternoon not leaving until 7pm. The fire has never failed to light and its a slight to have it working properly . Thank you to both of you for fixing my fire when nobody local seemed to know what to do ! Nothing was too much trouble.

I am giving the engineers Derek Thomas and Martin five stars, I would give them ten stars if I could. So helpful, very friendly, just great guys, and willing to help out. Absolutely fantastic service from them. Highly recommended.

Just had a Gazco Stockton 5 Natural Gas stove fitted in our snug. Room is 37 cu. metres, 2.3 m high. The new unit replaced an older gas stove of higher rated output, so we were a little concerned that the output would suffice. However, the Stockton 5 is more than adequate for the job; after initial start-up of 10 minutes on full, we reduce to minimum. We are also very impressed with the log-effect visual appearance, and the general quality of the stove construction. Very happy!

Shockingly bad customer service and after sales service, or rather, lack of it. Need some technical support with a fault code on our Reflex 75T. Rang customer service then technical support and held 30 mins, then chose the option to have a call back with assurance they would hold my place in the queue. That was over 8 hours ago. Not good enough Gazco. A premium product deserves better customer service. I see from other reviews I am not alone in my experience. Wish wed never bought the fire now. Beware if you are considering buying from this company.

This is written on behalf of some older friends. They brought a stockton 2 fire which they can't turn the pilot off even when not in use. This means it has used a lot of gas
