I attended and so enjoyed the J.S. Bach wonderful St John's Passion performed by the Bach Orchestra and Singers on Saturday evening. The programme laid out the story in both German and English throughout making it doubly enjoyable. The soloists and the choir were magnificent led by such an enthusiastic conductor, it was a joy to watch and listen The audience were most appreciative at the finish, giving a standing ovation. Quite rightly many people chose to wear masks throughout and my only small criticism was that it gradually got colder and colder because the main doors were open thus providing the necessary ventilation but by then it was almost 10pm so this was inevitable. This is a beautiful church both externally and internally and I hope to attend any future concerts there.
