This is a basic cafe that serves good food....nothing fancy, just good hones food, at a very reasonable price. I had a lambe roast with 5 different veg and roast potatoes, followed by desert. I left feeling totally satisfied The only downside is that it's not wheelchair accessible, but that's because of the building.

please, I implore you, dont go in here.....I was hungry, and was close, the fact it was totally empty on a Saturday lunchtime should have set alarm bells ringing, but I was hungry....I settled for cottage pie and veg, and sat down at my sticky!! table to wait. I should have run when I saw the owner disappear out back and return with a frozen log of something wrapped in clingfilm, fifteen minutes later I heard a ding and surprise surprise, my meal arrived. Now I'm not a particularly picky eater, but by christ, this was vile...the cottage pie was nuclear on the outside, ice cold in the middle and as bland as a weekend with aunty gladys, the Swede was watery and seasoned and the green beans were yellow with age and as soft as custard. none of it had ever seen a sight of seasoning, and was all swimming in a watery puddle of cheap instant gravy. the o lay thing that tasted as it should was the HP sauce..I had three trepidatious mouths full, and gave up, I actually felt physically sick . please, do yourselves a favour, walk on by ,go another 100 yards and theres plenty of other places. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!
