Beautuful pub in lovely location. Shame about overcooked food. Almist empty salad bar. Grandson had six skinny type chips with his ribs.

AVOID!...Service very very slow. Both bar and serving of meals. Our meals did not come out together in large party so half the party eating cold food. Dreadful steak chewy and inedible. Expensive and inedible. Told waitress not bothered just shrugged her shoulders. Complete waste of money. One dessert came out when we were about to leave this is shocking service. Told the waitress not bothered just shrugged shoulders. No customer care or service. Avoid this place! Parking: Limited disabled parking have to register when go in.

We booked a table and when we arrived, where waiting 10 minutes at the desk to be seated. Once seated it took another 15 minutes to take our drinks order and yet we were still not given a salad bowl. We then proceeded to wait a total of 30 minutes when 5-6 other customers where shown to their tables. They were then all served with drinks and had their food orders taken whilst we remained sat there waiting. During this time we asked two members of staff if we could order and were told they would be with us shortly. After a wait of 45 minutes in total without having our order taken, I politely complained to the manager explain the above issues to which he responded "well we are busy mate". I asked why everybody who arrived after us had been served before us to which he responded again , "we are really busy". No apology was offered and we left the restaurant, advising the manager that we would raise a complaint. We normally eat at a Harvester at least once a week and our last 2-3 visits have been disappointing, but last nights visit was horrendous. Bad service, poor management and a manager who had no idea how to deal with the issue and also looked like he had been dragged through a hedge backwards with his long hair unkept and not tied back, his shirt and trousers had clearly never seen an iron and covered in old stains. A total disaster which ruined my family's Friday evening.
