My mum has been a resident at The Glen since October 2022. We have been always been welcomed and supported as a family by all members of staff. The whole team are very friendly, kind, compassionate, professional and led by excellent management who are visible and very approachable. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Glen Care Home.

My mother was booked into The Glen for a 2 week respite in August 2022. Very disappointing as we had heard it had been a nice care home. The manager was polite and friendly, but unfortunately the home or the care really did not live up to the reputation. I removed my mother early due to the ongoing unsatisfactory care and poor facilities. I think the new owners run off the back of the previous bupa run home. It was mentioned by a regular resident to my mother how much it had gone downhill. In response to your comment re respite bring extended this is not strictly true. CHC told me 2 weeks then made a mistake when arranging with yourselves. Made tonslerpmon A faulty air mattress the first night, only had a shower after 8 days because mum's visitor complained and threatened to do it herself, no fans in communal rooms in the heatwave, other residents suffering in communal rooms due to no doors and windows being allowed open because of 1 escapee resident . Mum's visitor had too ask for extra drinks for residents during heatwave. Fortified strawberry milkshake (dietary needs) made with hot milk and unmixed with lumps left in, asked for wash and blow dry of hair and got a damp hacked mess cut in a storeroom. No one snswered call bell in night when assistance to the toilet was needed, no grabrails in communal downstairs toilets and poor communication and unpleasant interaction was witnessed between staff and a dementia resident. Hospital bed wheel continued to stick out as a trip hazard despite it bring brought to staff attention a number of times eventually causing injury to famiky member. Yes you fell very short of even the most basic expectation
