The reason for three stars is due to the fact that youve ignored serious fire safety breaches of our building for years and allowed our landlord to put so many lives at risk. It took years for your officers to attend to do an inspection of our building, which was followed by a fire the following day of your inspection due to our landlords negligence. You eventually issued our landlord with an enforcement notice, then extended this. Our landlord only partially completed some of the jobs of the enforcement notice on the last day of the expiry notice. And the risk assessment carried out by the third party contractor passed the assessment despite there being many fails. Since the enforcement notice, our landlord has continued to put all tenants and visitors at serious risk by ignoring numerous fire hazards and health and safety, from hoarding flytipping to continuing to ignore defects and disrepairs. The cladding and timber balconies remain a risk. We have warned the council and various other authorities of our landlords deliberate failings and negligence and warned there would be another fire. And only last month that happened on the street next to us. That wont be the last fire. Its not a matter of IF but WHEN well have another fire. You have a duty of care and should take residents concerns and evidence seriously. We very much appreciate times are difficult due to the pandemic but these serious failings have been ongoing for over eight years and gets worse and worse. We thank you all for saving lives while putting your lives at risk but please please please take fire safety seriously when residents raise concerns especially when evidence is provided. We all live in fear and its mentally exhausting and very damaging to our health.
