Been here twice. First time the food was lovely and nice portions to match what I thought was a competitive price. Last Sunday thought would try Sunday lunch. Very big difference. The food was quite poor as well as the portions. Roast potatoes two of them that were given were hard. One carrot cut into half and a bit of peas spinach and ONE slice of beef. This was very poor value for money. Service this time round I felt was very slow. We will go back. But I do not recommend the Sunday roast

We booked a meal here today not knowing how it was going to Be as to my knowledge it seems to have changed owners a few times over the years - but 4 adults and a 10 year old gave it a try . The menu gave a good choice from fillet steaks to sandwiches and a childs menu - but said child wanted a steak and l Said l would share one with him but he liked it medium and l like mine well done - when asked if they could cut it in half and oblige the chef said it wasnt possible due to the cut of meat - so we ordered a medium to share - it came and they had sliced it for us - half medium and half well ** hubby had the best fish and chips for years he said - son had the best pie with crust and thick chips and gravy- and d-I-l had chicken & bacon burgers with small fries delicious!- and crusty sour dough and butter and cheesy bread to start - We will certainly be back as the atmosphere was relaxed - music in the background and attentive owners that actually bothered that we were okay and that everything was okay with the meal - IT WAS-** the thoughtful chef made our meal great the steak was delicious Well done to a great restaurant

Had Sunday lunch with family today. Wish we had opted for a different venue. The meal was tasteless and small portion. Not value for money. Left feeling hungry and disappointed. Never again !!

Great chilled atmosphere and delicious food. The soup was flavoursome and as smooth as silk, the meat in the Sunday meal was so tender and moist even though it was late in the day. My husband had had the venison and I had beef... Both delicious!!

Food pricey for basic mains ie gammon, pie etc . Pineapple on gammon black, complained more pineapple brought to table didn't look burnt, but tasted slightly burnt, sticky toffee pudding just awful burnt on the bottom and it was so hard could barely get spoon thru left most of it . Toffee sauce and custard ok. My friend's pie was so dry. Not much veg on offer with main meals. 3 lime and sodas 3 mains and 2 desserts 80 . Very expensive and very disappointing. Will not be going back !
