We spent three nights at this lovely old pub with our dog. We had room 7 which was clean and spacious with a view to the hill behind. We ate in every night and the food was excellent, as was the beer (particularly Cumbria Way). The breakfasts too were of good quality and the full English is not to be missed. All the staff were friendly, worked well as a team and really made us feel welcome during our stay. The location is fantastic for exploring the countryside and the views superb. We walked up the hills behind and explored the paths and trails around the hamlet of Boot. Eskdale Mill behind is well worth a visit and the Eskdale & Ravenglass Railway is a real treat. Now that we have discovered this part of the Lake District we shall be back. Thank you Anita and Stuart
