Popped my cherry on this course on a recent society day and even though the weather was perfect and I played a decent round, I was quite underwhelmed with the whole experience, let's just say the bacon bap, 2 actually as I paid for an extra one, was a whole lot tastier than the course itself, quite a short, run of the mill parkland course, with apart from the exception of one par 3 hole, with some very lovely looking shrubs, was a very forgettable experience, the greens were exceptionally spongie, and trying to putt over my fellow playing partners footprints turned out to be an added hindrance to my already horrendous putting stroke, as much chance of getting a birdie on these greens as getting a ham sandwich in a synagogue. On a plus the staff were lovely, just a pity they ran out of ice at the 19th hole, and the outside benches just about managed to hold 4 overweight, middle-aged, wannabe golfers, fortunately we never passed wind simultaneously otherwise I think it would have collapsed !

Good test of golf, greens need time to recover

Not the best!! Played here recently (January 2023) Multiple temporary greens in place of the greens, the temporary greens may as well of been in the rough, terrible surface and the holes were twice the size of a standard hole. Had we been advised of this prior to playing we would have considered not playing on this particular day. The greens that were in play were in bad condition, it was as if a family of miles had burrowed under some of the greens! A few of the tees had been moved quite a distance from the correct positions. There was very little signage to the next holes, multiple people were having the same issue as us during our visit. On the plus side there were some good views of the local area and the course has some nice holes (had the greens been in better condition)
