A really, enjoyable and fascinating morning at Aces Squadron. I was made to feel very welcome by friendly squadron members. The spitfires are amazing, such a clever project. I really hope it is successful. The thought of seeing a dozen or so spitfires flying over the former WWII airfield in late Summer is inspiring. The bacon and sausage bap was excellent, too.

Can be a bit of a challenge to find. Google maps sent me to the wrong side of the airfield . The meeting room cafe is adequate for a sit down and a cuppa. Friendly welcome from the Ace Squadron' guys. The presentation given about the squadron and the aircraft was interesting but lasted over an hour and a half .(Could have been done in half the time.) Walking round the hanger getting hands on with the aircraft was excellent, the Ace squadron guys were very approachable and friendly.
