A lovely lake with two decent parking spots and two different walks, one side an easy walk/cycle, the other more of a hike/scramble; both can be combined in loop for a 90 minute run or a 4 hour family walk, with lots of places to stop for a paddle or a picnic. More, the is access to the full valley all the way down to Black Sail and the passes (walk/bike) into Wasdale & Buttermere.

It's a nice quiet and picturesque area. The parking can be a bit limited because of the popularity with walkers.
