        We didnt stay in the hotel but had a really good home cooked meal after a walk around Ennerdale water. Lovely little country pub, really friendly accommodating staff and dog friendly service too! We had the steak and Guinness pie with chips - it was gorgeous! And the chips are proper chips! Really nice. The pub is really cozy, nice warming log burners too. We will be back! Good to note it was fine for us to walk in during the day and get a table but we noticed the pub was fully booked (Saturday night) from 17.30 so worth booking ahead for weekend evenings I think!

        Walkability: Super easy to get to, just be on the lookout for their sign because you can't see the pub from the main road. Food & drinks: Solid pub food, lots of options. To be aware, if you order food you have to eat inside (when we visited, at least)
