        This hotel is ideal for the first or last night of the Coast to Coast. A warm welcome after a day's walk. Staff efficient and friendly. It's a no frills establishment but clean and fairly priced. Evening meal was excellent and homemade. Breakfast was just what is required for another day of walking. Special mention to the chef, polite and professional. Can recommend for those completing the C2C.

        When we arrived we were given a warm welcome and had a lovely conversation with Keith, the owner. He was very charming and even gave us free samples of their beers and lagers to help us decide, as well as offering us a free dessert as it was my mums birthday. We didnt get the chefs name unfortunately, but compliments to her as the food was absolutely outstanding! Will definitely be returning when were back in the area.
