Emsworth Post Office

DON'T BOTHER WITH THESE SCAMMERS! They make you pay way more than you need to for packages, saying that things that are clearly large letters are parcels and making people pay up to 10 around Christmas so "it will come in time" such a lie and you don't need to pay the extra for it to come in time. Talking down to people like we've never sent a package off is disgusting!

This review is in reference to one particular member of the post office staff who works here. On several occasions I have tried to post something here and she has been rude and looked for fault in my parcel as to why she cannot post it, these reasons are extremely petty, and had this only happened the once I would think it was my fault. But today being the third time I decided to take said parcel to the next post office down the road (quite a long drive) and where the staff were friendly and polite and had no issue with my parcel. Not sure what is going on here but will not be using emsworth post office if this person is serving.

DO NOT USE THIS POST OFFICE! There is a lady there who is so rude and totally incompetent. We send a lot of parcels and use Royal Mails click and drop. If our items are under 1kg thats the weight we choose and if they are under 2kg thats what we choose. As far as Royal mail are concerned as long as our small parcels are under the declared weight and not oversize they are accepted no issue as there is zero change in cost but not here! She will get the tape measure out and check something thats clearly a lot smaller than the max dims, she has refused items before that are totally fine and today she was exceptionally rude to my husband telling him if the EXACT weight isnt on the label she will refuse them. She is appalling and I cant understand why she manages to keep her job behaving like this. Other items she has refused have been accepted no issue at other post offices as they should be. We will now be taking all items to the sorting office drop off in Havant as they always accept everything and we have had no issues with deliveries going direct to them. Would rather the short car drive than deal with this jobsworth again
