I used to see Jonathan at another practise and I'm so glad to return to see him in his own practise in Southbourne today. I find him to be very friendly and calming and he always listens to what I would like - he only advises, no sales talk. I prefer minimal intervention and simple options and he's always happy to listen to this, I think this comes from having the experience to know what is truly needed. The receptionist was very warm and welcoming and it was a pleasure to visit. Thank you very much.

I have to say, I am extremely upset with this dentist. I was referred to them by Peter at Hampshire Endodontist and having explained my situation on the phone to Janet Ayling, I asked the receptionist to check the scans. The link didn't work and I asked if she could look at it on another device, such as a phone, she assumed I was questioning her competency. I was not, I work in I.T and often the internet (Wi-Fi) can have issues. Then no response for a week, and it was only by my referred dentist Peter, who said that they were not taking me on due to the call. They weren't even going to tell me that they weren't looking into the case! I then called again, apologising if the receptionist Janet Ayling was offended, she said she was offended by asking her to check the link on a different device, and that Jonathan Murphy would not be seeing me based on this! - even though she had accepted the apology after I explained why I asked her to check on a different device. I can't vouch for their work quality, but in terms of customer service, I have never experienced anything like this and the takeaway message would be to be extremely careful on the phone to them, particularly Janet and Jonathan. They may turn you down for any reason they wish to.

Excellent dentist,friendly efficient staff. Edit 2022:. The practice has upgraded to latest equipment so continues to maintain a very high standard of care. Cannot speak too highly of them.

Excellent dentist!! Ive been to many ,not had good experiences in some which had put me off going. This is by far the best!!Simon done two front fillings and I didnt even need an anaesthetic!! Fast and articulate in his work{always good as we dont want sat in that chair for a long time}Thank you, staff are all brilliant here!!
