Shieling House

As a former tenant of Shieling House, I have experienced the good and the bad. It was great before it was sold in late 2014 but the current owners (as at July 2021) have no idea of how to work with their tenants. Ultimately we moved out after one of the owners physically threatened me however things had been deteriorating for years. Cutting through asbestos covered walls with inadequate care during office hours, opening and reading letters addressed to tenants, mental abuse of staff and removing paid for services are just a few of the practices considered acceptable behaviour. The building is now up for sale with the emphasis on turning it into a warehouse. I know most of the tenants have not been informed of this which is typical of the mushroom management style used by the current owners.

I have had an office at Shieling House since 2014. I have always been very happy hear and pleased with the service and support I receive.

I rent the Yoga Room at Shieling House for teaching my regular yoga classes, and have also used the therapy room on occasion for private yoga therapy clients. The receptionists are always very friendly and helpful. The facilities are comfortable, and they go out of their way to make it as easy and comfortable for me to welcome my clients. I really enjoying working from here, and feel that my business is enhanced by the environment. I can highly recommend Shieling House as a great place to house any business.

Shieling House has proven to be a great place to run my business from. The reception staff and owners are lovely friendly people and very helpful, often helping to solve problems I'd have to work through on my own otherwise. The recently added in house yoga studio has been an unexpected boon for me, a great way to sort out my backache plus relax after a long day. It's really helped that as the nature and size of my client base has changed I've been able to move offices within the building which has saved a lot of stress.
