My Mother had paid for her funeral before she died. We were aware of her wishes. Mother passed on a Saturday evening, and they arrived promptly to take Mothers body away. From the start to finish we were treated with respect, and the whole family were cared for, all our questions were answered professionally with compassion, and Michael who we dealt with showed so much understanding. All her wishes were met, she had a end of life plan which she had made a few years before. This was fulfilled with the same professionalism and care. The care of her body was very well done, she was put in the clothes we gave them, and four weeks after the death she looked the same as she did when one of our family first viewed her body. We were assured at every opportunity, that it was OK not to be OK, and the feelings we were experiencing were perfectly normal. The night before the funeral my sister decided she would like to view our Mum so I hastily made a late appointment. This was accommodated and we were once again made to feel very welcome. The service went smoothly and my two sons were able to be Pall bearers, and they had clear instructions given to what they would do etc, and the option was open that on the day if they did not wish to do this that this was was fine as well. After the funeral I received a phone call from Michael at Dignity to enquire after my well being, This again I thought was over and above anything I could of expected. But I was very grateful for that call. We are going tomorrow back to Dignity to see Michael to discuss Internment and collect the ashes. On behalf of my family thank you all very much for all you have done for my family. Linda Powell

Ely Funeral Services organised my father's funeral last month. The staff there could not have been kinder, more considerate or efficient. They came to discuss arrangements with us at home one evening as Mum was not well, produced a wheelchair for her to sit in when we viewed the flowers after the funeral and today personally delivered a beautifully bound book with the order of service and photographs of the flowers. The service was very smoothly organised and was respectful and dignified. And we were never at any point steered to pay for more extras or to go for more expensive options. I cannot think of a single thing they could have improved upon. We were in safe hands. Thank you on behalf of all the family.
