Elveden Inn restaurant

Stopped here for the Tesla Supercharger, and grabbed lunch. Really glad we did - a great way to end our Centerparcs break, with some quality food and service in a relaxing setting.

Disappointing, we hadn't booked but they squeezed us in. That said, camembert was over cooked, pork was tough, carrots tough, drink was 90% ice, sticky toffee pudding was obviously microwaved, and for too long so was tough too. 70 for two staters, 2 mains and dessert is not good value. Such a shame as the location and ambience are amazing.

It pains me to rate this low as its debatable whether its the restaurants fault but this is now the third occasion that Ive turned up to this place as a planned stop on a long journey to find that theyre unexpectedly closed. They do not update Google Maps, Facebook or their website to indicated that theyve closed or will close during otherwise open hours. Even on the same day theyve closed theres no update and all platforms will show it as open. How is it just these guys? Everybody else seems to be managing but these folks are reliably not reliable. I probably wouldnt have left this review if theyd take their responsibility to update platforms people rely on like Google Maps et al seriously - but that hasnt been the case. 2 stars because the food is decent (Although a little expensive) when it is open but unfortunately I feel its my civic duty to hand out a low rating here as a warning to other travellers that you cannot rely on this place as a crucial rest stop because theres a good chance it may be closed when you arrive.
