So my buddy called me up at the ungodly hour of 9:45 pm, apparently forgetting that humans need sustenance to survive. He was craving some juicy, succulent meat, and I couldn't let him starve (or worse, turn into a hangry monster). We scoured the barren wasteland that is Borehamwood for a place to eat, but most joints had already packed up and gone home. Except for one shining beacon of hope: The Arch Restaurant. We stumbled in at 10 pm, just as the staff were winding down for the night. But to our surprise, they greeted us with open arms. I wasn't really in the mood for a late-night feast, but my friend was practically drooling at the thought of meat. So we ordered the "Arch Special" meat extravaganza for two, along with some Efes beers. Let me tell you, that meat platter was a beast. It was so massive, I could've sworn it had its own gravitational pull. But it was damn delicious. We tried our best to tackle it, but it was like wrestling a wild boar. Thankfully, we managed to avoid the pitas of doom and finish off most of the carnivorous bounty. The bill came out to 65 for everything, which was a steal considering how much meat we consumed. But I have to admit, after that meal, I couldn't even look at a steak without feeling queasy for the next three days. Maybe next time, I'll stick to a salad. Or just fast for a week before trying such a feast.
