Photography Masterclasses

I attended a 1 to 1 course for a couple of hours with Gary. He is a very friendly tutor with a flexible approach and is able to tailor the courses to meet individual needs. He was able to give me hints and tips for an upcoming expedition trip and help me to fine tune my skills. Whilst I'm an experienced photographer, Gary would be an excellent tutor for all levels.

I had the advanced street photography and Lightroom courses with Gary Perlmutter and I really liked it. Regarding the street photography, it was really good to go outside with an expert in the field. Gary helped me putting the theory I already knew in practice. Also, he showed me how light is so important for photography. Regarding Lightroom, Gary showed me many features I was not aware of. So, yes it was worth it! At the end, I asked him about a feature in Photoshop (I was having that problem for so long) and even being out of the scope he did not quit until he solved the problem. Many thanks again Gary!:)

Had a great day on the street photography course. We started by looking at what street photography is and examples of famous photographers work, followed by setting up your camera and the best techniques to use when out and about. This was followed by putting what we learnt into practice on the streets of London, guided by Gary in a very friendly and helpful way. We discussed what makes a good subject, how to handle various conditions and situations, all the time comparing what we were seeing and capturing while having a very pleasant walk. I would highly recommend this course for anyone looking to discover a new aspect of photography or build confidence to go out in the street and take interesting shots.

I attended a 1 to 1 course for a couple of hours to improve the use of my DSLR as a follow up and refresher to an earlier group course I had attended. I found Gary Perlmutter to be a very friendly tutor with a wealth of photography experience that he kindly shared with me. His explanations of the different functions of my DSLR was very thorough but easy to understand - I've learnt so much more about how my camera actually works! Also it was great having a personal course, it meant we could speed up and slow down as needed, to suit me. I would strongly recommend it to anyone interested in photography
