Oh dear, unfortunately, there's an awful lot more that goes missing at this place, and not just a 'lost sock', I'm afraid... Today was the latter of two bad experiences. On my first visit, a little while ago, the female owner insisted that I should pay everything upfront for my laundry, however, as I was leaving the shop, the next customer was given an option to "pay now or later." Rather questionable?? Perhaps I looked a bit shady. When I returned to pick up my dry cleaning a few days later, the male owner was unable to locate it. I was told to come back in a few hours so that they could "have a search around for it." Again, this was very concerning, but to their defence, my dry cleaning was finally found! Second experience - just before Christmas, I dropped my daughter's school uniform off but had no real intention of hurrying back as it was the Christmas period, and I had other things that were a priority. I went to pick my dry cleaning up today, only to see a notice on the door informing customers that the shop is closed, had been for over a week and will resume business tomorrow (2nd Jan). I was not informed of this as I dropped the uniform off, and my daughter returns to school tomorrow, on 2nd Jan. Now I was panicking, and of course, this is a lesson learnt. Always have a spare uniform for your child, and never leave a laundry pick-up until the last minute, however, ALL customers SHOULD be informed of steps like this before shutting shop for an extensive period of time. I was not told that the shop was going to be closed. Again, in their defence, I spotted a light in the shop, knocked on the window and was escorted in to pick up my dry cleaning up. Relief!! THE WORST IS YET TO COME... The owner not only handed me my daughter's school uniform but somebody else's Louis Vuitton top! I was horrified when I got home! I immediately informed 'Lost Sock' who promptly came to pick it. That could potentially have been yet another upset customer! Needless to say, I shall not be going back there again, AND NEITHER SHOULD YOU!!!
