A great place for the wildlife. Not a good place for the family. No dogs allowed. Only a few parking spots on the edge of the road, hard to find and get to by foot as no footpaths on that road. To get in you need to go over a stile or locked gate. Watch out for deep water as the site has natural springs. The board walk in is across a wet area, in need of repair and will normally be wet. Some stinging nettles, ticks can be a problem when the meadow grass is long. Cows on site from May to October with electric wire along the river bank when the cows are out. Once on site it is a nice place to be one with nature and you have a good chance of being alone for hours without seeing anybody. The site is sometimes used by naturists so do not be surprised if you see naked people. In the winter the site can flood. It is private fly fishing here for members only. I think the club has only two or three members.
