We booked a table here for my Mum's birthday, only to turn up on the day and find that somebody else had occupied it. Either the people who eat here do so very slowly, or the staff who took our booking were drunk. I shudder to imagine how long we'd have been kept waiting for our starters, let alone mains, had we actually stayed (which we thankfully didn't). The waiter was very friendly about it which made matters worse as the apology (assuming that he did apologise as I couldn't quite understand what he was saying) was just a superficial "sorry", which is just a five-letter word unless it has meaning. I can think of plenty of four-letter words to describe this place, all of which have a very significant meaning. On a far brighter note, we went to the Narrowboat Inn outside Whittington instead and my Mum had a whale of a time. It was also nice to go outside for a cigarette without becoming dinner for various biting insects... Parking: PS Good luck finding a parking space if you're actually insane enough to pay for the dubious privilege of being boxed in after parking up to eat in this gastronomical Fawlty Towers...
