Really nice course, and good value food and drink in the clubhouse

We came here for a celebration lunch for a relatives 60th wedding anniversary. There was plenty of free parking within an easy walking distance of the clubhous. The restaurant was lovely, a spacious room with a lovely atmosphere. It was a Sunday lunch which was a carvery. They made a table big enough for 14 of us to sit round comfortably. Waitresses bought our starter's, I chose the vegetable soup, which was delicious. We had to go to the carvery and get our main courses. There was a choice of roast beef or turkey, which was cooked to perfection. The chef served a generous portion of meat, and we served our own vegetables. I couldn't fault the meal it was perfect. They also have a well stocked bar. You do have to be a member of the golf club to use this place, but you can come as a guest of a member as we did. Or you can buy a membership.

After all the rain and thunderstorms we had today, the course drained extremely well, while most courses in the area were closed Ellesborough was open and a pleasure to play being on chalk it drained extremely well. Well worth a visit whatever time of year.
