        Great place for a self catering holiday. Comfortable and spacious accommodation, plenty of kitchen appliances, comfy bed and nice view of the lake. Lots of space for parking. Very convenient for Lancaster, Morecambe and the Trough of Bowland. Close to the canal for walking to Galgate etc, lots of maps available with many other local walks and cycle rides.

        We stayed in the delightful Mill Cottage from 2-9 October 2021, in the stunning surrounding location complete with lake and a lovely summer house. Such peace and quiet. The best cottage we have ever stayed in. There are lovely walks very close by along the Lancaster Canal, one reaching the excellent hotel, the Mill at Conder Green, to quench your thirst and have a (very good) bite to eat. Saw several herons and a little egret en route and chatted to the friendly owner of the old Lock Keeper's cottage. Another world! An added bonus is that Lakewood Cottages are within easy reach of Morecambe Bay and the southern Lake District. This was a very special holiday indeed and we will definitely be returning.
