Spire Elland Hospital

Had a operation few year ago triger finger, doctor was like a butcher, told to lay on bed anesthetic put needle in, went up in air with shock he carried on, pain was atrocious, would not give me time to breath, never again, wanted to stab him ,like he did to me,

Patients left hanging around in waiting rooms while nurses stand idly by. No one explained or apologised for the consultants poor time management. The patients at Elland are treated as no more than cash fodder. Dreadful experience. Worse than NHS. The only time they speak to you is to make sure they have all your bank details.

Had an hernia operation 17/2/23 at elland,went back for staples out 27/2/23 as a nhs patient unfortunately i had a bleed when i got off the table , just want to say a big thank you to the nurses who got the situation under control,ended up being bluelighed to huddersfield for inspection and stiched back up ,so thanks to all the staff at elland .x Many thanks to the cleaner julie lol.

I couldn't find star less than 1. continuously postponed my operation for 3 times. Last one cancelled just 1 day before :( There is absolutely no wiggle room for scheduling appointments, no explanation offered for cancellations, and no information provided regarding the time a new appointment would be set. If you have no idea when you can restart taking your prescription, this is especially annoying when you have to stop taking it before a procedure. I would say please don't go for this hospital. I

Arrived on time for consultant appointment. 40 minutes later I'm still sitting waiting and no one comes to speak to me although 4 nurses are chatting away to each other clearly not busy. When I complained I was told to leave as my "relationship with my consultant has now broken down". Disgusting.
