Woodfield Grange Care Home

Individual carers were very kind but this was a really upsetting experience. Mum had to leave the happy, loving home she'd been in for 11 years as it was closing due to retirement, so we planned well in advance by visiting homes to see who could continue the routine she was used to. Despite promises that they could, loads of information about her needs and weeks to prepare Woodfield Grange failed to be ready. The worst omissions were these: she was stuck in bed for three days before the chair we had supplied was taken to her room, and the type of hoist she needed for her usual toilet routine had not been acquired and had still not arrived when she died two weeks later. We did our best to intervene and some things were starting to improve, but I would urge anyone to check and recheck that they are going to actually deliver what they say.

Not the best care home poorly run and communication is virtually zero. You have to ring everytime you visit why ? and that is only if there is somebody on reception otherwise you'll be ringing forever. My father was a resident and as now left thankfully not a place I would highly recommend at all overall below standards

I have worked in this home before, i must confess that the workers there are hostile to agency staffs, so unfriendly and petty.

My uncle is there at present and trying to get in touch with reception is a disgrace, the care he has is OK, but you ask for anything for him for instance last week was his nebulizer she said yes was 15 minutes later when I asked a another person and she brought it ,myself and husband went for a visit both had tests my hubby was never asked for his name or number so he never got his results has it was we had left before our results came back
