Wow! Not what we expected. This is a really smart pub, the staff were really nice, the other customers were nice and chatty. There was a pub dog, called Boris, cute as they come ... and as for.the food, just superb! Good portion sizes, great quality and a sensible price. 100% the perfect pub meal.

Managed to get a last minute booking for lunch today. Myself and friend dined on Ham and Beef roast dinner. The meat was fine but seemed more deli bought than home cooked, Yorkshire pudding was homemade :) not sure about the mash potatoes but very small amount, plate also came with a couple of what seemed to be fried new potatoes, a bowl of veg ( carrots and caggage -fresh) were served seperate with a jug of gravy! At 14 for both meals I was happy with what we received, however I wouldn't of wished to pay more. Little quibbly bits ... We did find a small hair in vegetable! and although I have nothing against dogs one laid at by side of my feet whilst I ate my dinner!

Gorgeous food, bit cramped but lovely rustic atmosphere would definitely recommend
