The Witching Post Inn

We stayed here for 2 nights recently and loved every minute.Not a bad word to say about The Witching Post Inn. Our room was beautiful,the pub served a good selection of food and a breakfast that set you up for the day.Everywhere was clean,and nothing was too much trouble for Pete,the owner. We were made to feel so welcome by Pete and Lucy,would highly recommend this lovely old pub, which is situated in a small village not far from Whitby. Definitely will be returning.

Stayed for a week in early January, of course it was cold, wet and windy but there were plenty of interesting places to visit for days out. It was good to get back to a roaring log fire, a hearty meal, a few drinks and up to our room for a comfortable nights sleep with a wide choice of excellent breakfasts in the morning. We took our dog and she was made extremely welcome. The staff were great and Pete, the Landlord, made us feel completely at home and went out of his way to ensure our stay was an experience not to forget. We sincerely recommend The Witching Post inn and this is where we'll stay when we are next in the area.
