Lovely roomy cottage with comfy beds and very clean to say it allows dogs (we have 2 who don't shed) I didn't find one dog hair! Only bug bear cleaning wise was the washing machine dispenser drawer, some one who stayed there before us has obviously never used one before as the powder was in the compartment where the fabric softener goes, this should have been checked and cleaned before anyone else stayed there. Most cottages we've stayed in have a folder with all instructions for appliances and information regarding the cottage in one place, The Reading rooms didn't, we searched for things but didn't find them, it's not easy trying to fathom out controls for appliances that are very different from the ones you have at home! The showers need urgent attention too, the one in the disabled bathroom was a nightmare, talk about stand on one leg turn round three times and clap to see if it works, you had to keep hold of the temperature control knob to turn the on/off lever otherwise...... no water came out at all, if the on/off lever was turned fully on.... no water came out at all....and if you adjusted the temperature mid flow..... the water stopped running, that's if you managed to get water in the first place, I did say this was the disabled bathroom too, no one with dexterity problems would have been able to use that shower! The shower head on the bath upstairs leaked water from the fittings and the shower head part kept spinning round in your hand as the handle was broken making it very hard to keep hold of to control where the water went! There was a door leading from the master bedroom to the front garden which wouldn't unlock despite trying every key including the one marked "bedroom" I would have thought that with the lockdown and no one being able to stay there for 4 months that the owners would have got things fixed, I say on most reviews that periodically the owners of holiday lets should stay in them for a week themselves and see how they get on then more things would get fixed!
