Major Oak Medical Practice

Having spoken to three receptionists over the last two days Helen, Bev,and Paula that were very helpful and friendly really helped me with a problem that i have been struggling with. ii cannot thank you all enough They are brilliant I also had an appointment with Dr gopi that understood a problem that has been worrying me so much .He reassured me because he is going to try and help with the problem Thank you all Dr Gopi is a fantastic doctor nothing is to much trouble he's help me out so much and I can't thank you enough

My daughters been going to the surgery as she suffers from anxiety and depression. The male Drs are useless and have no idea about mental health. One even shouted at her..

Good surgery, staff always willing to help. Appointments always seem to be readily available and same with prescriptions.

Apart from the receptionists who are generally lovely, Ive had mostly negative experiences with this surgery. On one occasion Ive been waiting 40 minutes for an appointment, to be called in and told they cant go ahead because the previous GP did not fill it in correctly? I have also been in regarding my mental health, where the doctor asked me do you look in the mirror and just see a nasty face? (which I didnt feel appropriate) and he had proceeded to tell me I was beautiful and because of that, I should get over it, basically. I have also left numerous times feeling I still had questions regarding my concern, and that the doctor had not listened to me or looked into my concerns properly. This is the only surgery where Ive felt like a nuisance to the doctors, or left feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable.
