The old centre was like a tranquil medival village in the centre of the forest. Seemed almost as if it had grown there itself. The new one is cold modern and sterile. No history nature or robin hood. Will not be visiting again. Very sad.

I personally think this new building spoils the atmosphere of sherwood forest. I've been going most of my life and I'm over 60 now, my grandchildren will never have the same experiences as my children or myself .Being in the thick of sherwood forest . The new build is so out of character and too modern. Very sad visitor. Julie Mbye

Very clean and tidy, friendly staff, clean toilets, cafe prices were as to be expected. The car park which is situated in a field over the road was priced at 4 per day. Change for the car park is available from the small childrens fun fair next to the car park. The surrounding trails are well marked and obviously a bit on the muddy side depending on the weather, so a change of footwear would be advisable.

Our first and last visit to the new centre. Totally out of character for the setting, virtually no reference to Robin Hood, very sterile. No facilities for dog walkers to sit under cover, not enough toilets, my wife had to queue on a very quiet day, you have to go through the soulless cafe to get to them, god knows what they will do with school groups! The old centre definitely needed replacing, but this is not a suitable replacement. It isn't even near the forest!
