Hillside Campsite

We had an absolutely lovely time here for my sisters hen do. Facilities were fine for what we needed. Surrounding areas of the tents were beautiful. The kitchen area/outside eating area was lovely and the lights made it beautiful in the evenings. Owners seemed friendly, popped over to ask if we needed anything from the shop in the morning. It really was a lovely chilled weekend. Ive only taken one star away as I do feel for the price paid gas/charcoal could have been included, just one bag and a can so its one less thing to have to bring. Also when a member of our party approached one of the owners as we were a bit worried the BBQ looked brand new, we wanted to check whether we needed to line it or anything (especially as you are told 50 will be deducted if not cleaned properly) they were told Id expect it to be clean. You do have to clean it! theres quite a difference between looking clean and looking like it was brand new and obviously we had every intention to clean it afterwards. Other than this, it really was a brilliant weekend.

We came to hillside on a hen party arranged by beautiful bells glamping. The campsite owners were really friendly and the facilities were great, very clean. The location is beautiful! The hen camp is really clear about it being a quiet location for a low key civilised hen party, there is a rule for the music to be off by 10pm when you arrive, which we adhered too however, I do feel it is a little early, all hen parties will want to listen to some music. The owners live on the site also so I understand they may not want this to go on until all hours of the night but you have to expect that music will be wanted providing the volume is within reason. This is the only slight negative.
